The difference in body language between these two pictures is astounding.
Even though they weren’t really together in the first picture, Arizona’s body is open and facing towards Callie. Callie’s legs are crossed towards Arizona, and her body is actually reaching towards Arizona’s half of the couch. No matter how angry and hurt they were, they were still open to the other person.
Now this second picture? Damn. All roads are closed. Each sitting at the extreme edge of the couch, legs crossed away from one another. Arizona is in protection mode. She’s curled in on herself, shrinking away from everything. Closed bodies means closed minds.
